The map: where we are
Farmyard animals, swines and vegetables, products used to prepare delicious dishes and courses, are exclusively breed and grown in the farm and are the result of a very meticulous and traditional Friulian cultivation and feeding system.

All the courses are directly cared by Ortensia, cook of tried experience.

The bittersweet appetizers in oil sauce, made with peppers, eggplants, and asparagus, produced and transformed at the farm, are accompanied with charcuterie and sausages, such as dry-cured ham, "soppressata" , bacon and salami.

Starters: Three colors home made "tagliatelle", potato's "gnocchi" with duck sauce, barley and beans (tipical Friulian dish) and vegetables risotto, sausage with country herbs (spring dish).

Main courses: "hunters"oneless duck roll filled with turkey breast and rabbit, Backed turkey or guinea fowl , backed pork leg and cannon-bone, and also pork meat cooked in all different ways, from boiled pork to cabbage rib.

During winter time, omelet with "ciccioli" and chicory with "ciccioli" are also available.
We cannot forget about the traditional Friulian dishes: "frico", salami with vinegar and onions, omelets with aromatic herbs: peppermint, chive, balm.....and then it is all a secret of Ortensia the cook!

Bread and cakes are home made, for example apple pie with plum marmalade and strudel are Enzo's specialty and are cooked in the guest farm house oven.

White and red wines are served are exclusively DOC production from "Collio" and come from the vineyards of Cosson di Prepotto (UD); there is a take a way wine selection with the best wines coming form Friulian vineyards.

You can also find Friulian spirits and "rosoli" made directly by Ortensia.

Coffee is made of course with Italian mocha.

At "Alle Ortensie" country guest house you can also find everything you will need for groups, ceremonies and weddings , as well as a sampling snack of Friulian Montasio cheese, fresh and seasoned, with charcuterie and "polenta".

The "Alle Ortensie" country guest house is open for dinner Friday and Saturday, on Sunday and working days, all day long.

Happiness and music are always present with Fabio's & Massimo's accordion.
